Tickets are available at three price points all of which can be paid in three monthly instalments.

General Admission represents the true cost of a course place.

Subsidised Tickets are available for those who are unable to afford the GA ticket or payment plan.

Accomplice Tickets are for those who can afford to pay a bit more in order to support Subsidised places. If you are able to comfortably afford the Accomplice ticket or payment plan, we encourage you choose this option.

All ticket fees go directly to the facilitator with a small percentage going to NQCs administrative costs.

Course Info:

A Venus retrograde seminar and generative workshop on the practice of attuning to the interstitial spaces.

Drawing on the Sumerian goddess Inanna’s descent through the seven gates to the underworld (which parallel’s Venus’ movements in the sky from evening to morning star) we will explore a variety of concepts related to this transition as resources for our creative process.

We will come together every Friday during the Venus Retrograde to (re)assess our artistic practices through the lens of the underworld, liminal spaces and interstices, descent and ascent, dark nights of the soul, ghosts, rebellion, transgression, transitions, desire and queerness, and then will have the opportunity to respond creatively to whatever arises. Each session begins with a lecture, followed by group discussion, and ends with prompts and attunements to descend and ascend from our own creative underworlds.

Think, rebellious descenders, sideways writers, forgotten goddesses, mistranslated hauntings, the intimacy of your own creative procedure, and the vessels that hold it all.

This is especially relevant for those in the in-between. Whether you are in transition with your practices, between genres, experiencing change in life moments, completely unsure of who you are and what you want, we will cultivate the juicy medicine of the underworld as a space for transformation, power, transgression and ultimately regeneration.

Writers and figures we may engage with include: Venus in Scorpio, Inanna & Ereshkigal, Emmalea Russo (Venus Daze), Hélène Cixous, Julia Kristeva, val flores, Alice Notley, Clarice Lispector, Sofia Samatar, Kate Zambreno, Elena Garro, Marguerite Duras, Harmony Holliday, Mary Rueffle, Louise Gluck, Morgan Parker, Anne Carson, Donna Tartt, Demetra George, Jean Genet and others.

This workshop is built around experimentation. The themes are built around Abby's own research around liminality and getting herself out of her own underworld, through creative and devotional practices.

Open to all levels of experience. No astrology knowledge or study of art, myth or writing is necessary.

About the Facilitator:

Abby Nocon is a writer, ritualist and creative strategist from the Midwestern US, now living in London with her dog Lispector. She previously held senior roles in the digital transformation world but left this path to design a business around her own rhythms as a neurodivergent mystic. She offers divinatory readings and runs an advisory studio for building accessible, sacred futures. She creates stories, worlds and systems that reimagine ways of knowing and creative self-expression. A Scorpio Sun at heart, Abby is happiest when she is helping clients and students through transformation and when she's in the flow state making poems.
