Let's come together to get cosy and unwind in a weekly Yoga Nidra practice. Also known as Yogic Sleep, Yoga Nidra is a meditation for deep relaxation. Its roots can be traced back to approximately 1000 BC and the Indian Sankhya philosophy, passed down through verbal teaching. It is a practice that can support our overall well-being and bodily nourishment, and is a good option for those of us who wince at the thought of meditation as presented through dominant Western cultural narratives.

During our weekly session, we will practise Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses), breath awareness, and rotation of consciousness around the body to guide ourselves into relaxation. We may also practise breathwork, sensory consciousness (focusing on sensations such as hot/cold, dry/wet, etc.), and visualisations (scenes described by the facilitator).

No previous meditation experience is required.

Please note, this practice may reveal and release emotions stored in the body. If you are in a trauma crisis or struggle to self-regulate, this may not be a safe practice for you at this time. If you are interested but unsure, and would like to discuss anything, please do get in touch at: info@neuroqueercreative.com.

Session will not be recorded.
